Kuala Lumpur March 2013

Festive DecorationsHi Everyone, I know it has been a while – my sincere apologies but it has been so busy what with the Festive Season, my Grandson’s 3rd Birthday, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and soon it will be Easter. During all of this I have been several times around the world including Trinidad, Johannesburg and twice to one of my favourite cities, Kuala Lumpur, most recently last week.

Petronas Twin TowersI had forgotten how much I love this place – Tom Yam Prawns for less than £2 sterling and wall to wall sunshine – except of course when it rains which it does quite frequently but only for a short while.

So back to the UK for a month or so now where the temperature at Manchester Airport was minus 1 – beautifully sunny but, with a wind chill, feeling like minus 10 deg C. Elsewhere in the UK severe snow is causing some problems – unusually late in the season! Still, spring is in the air!Snowdrops

The President’s Palace Port of Spain Trinidad viewed from the rooftop bar of my hotel – the Carlton Savannah right opposite ‘the Savannah’ which I jogged around earlier today. Fascinating place and lovely people. Looking forward to a week at home (but not the weather!) before leaving for Kuala Lumpur at the end of the month.
